When presenting using the V-Tel or other video conferences, remember that the audience in satellite facilities is watching the presentation on a relatively small monitor. If using presentation software, the slides will be too hard to read for most participants. Instead, switch the camera from you to the slide for a few seconds. This will enable them to locate the appropriate slide in their learner's guide. then switch the camera back to you. They will be more interested in watching and listening to you.
Do not wear a striped shirt while presenting. Many of the rules that apply to television apply to broadcasting using V-Tel equipment.
Remember that there will be a delay in broadcasting. Expect if a question arises from a satellite location, that you may be in your next point by the time you hear the question. Explaining this at the start of your presentation will reinforce with your viewers that this medium is not real time and you are not ignoring them, but will answer the question once you hear it.
